About this Fund

Every year, the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. provides annual Scholarship & Emerging Leader Awards to deserving residents of Southern New Jersey, to defray the cost of college or professional development.

These awards are made possible thanks to generous donors who have established endowment funds, a percentage of which is spun off every year to benefit recipients.

​

In 2018, the JCF's Board of Trustees launched the Student Opportunity Scholarship Award endowment fund, 

 

Anybody can contribute to this fund in any dollar amount to provide more scholarship award dollars annually.

 

Thank you to the generous JCF Board members who donated to help establish this fund!

 

Now, we welcome contributions from the broader community to grow the fund and provide even more impactful awards. 

​

Recipients of the award hail from the SNJ Jewish community and must display financial need. Applications submitted by prospective awardees are thoroughly and confidentially reviewed by a volunteer committee, which approves the winners. This process occurs during the first three to four months every calendar year.
