JCF Announces an Estimated $80,000 in Award Funding

The Grants Committee of the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. recently completed its Fall 2025 JCF Grants cycle, resulting in the most dollars awarded in one cycle by way of JCF Grants and independent contributions.

In all, over $51,000 has been approved by the committee, which is chaired by Rhona Cohen and Susan Olinsky, and subsequently the JCF Board of Trustees, to support 25 new initiatives that will benefit residents of Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties.

Several private donors and two additional JCF endowment funds will provide approximately $30,000 in total to augment the committee’s allotment, bringing the cycle’s total to an estimated $80,000. This marks the largest combined sum of grant dollars and additional support allotted in one JCF Grants cycle in JCF history, dating back over 25 years.

“The JCF’s Grants Committee appreciates the opportunity to be able to give back to South Jersey community members, and we thank the more than two dozen organizations that have applied this fall,” Cohen said. “Every cycle we are thrilled to learn about and support the creative ideas that our partner organizations put forth to enhance the lives of thousands of people annually.”

Olinsky added, “We also appreciate the donors who established the endowment funds that make these bi-annual awards possible, and we thank the private contributors who were so inspired by the requests that they agreed to provide additional financial support to ensure that the requests succeed. For this committee to be able to support so many important initiatives through JCF Grants and private contributions is an exciting mitzvah. This generosity and collaboration demonstrate what makes our community so vibrant and caring.”

Looking ahead, the Spring 2026 JCF Grants Cycle will be launched in early January with full details to be announced, but prospective applicants should note the application deadline of Friday, March 20 at 4:00 p.m.
