Now Is a Great Time To Create a Legacy

On Wednesday, April 18th, the JCF hosted Arlene D. Schiff, National Director of the LIFE & LEGACY initiative of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF), to talk with local legacy teams about the new "Each One Reach One" campaign launching nationally, including in South Jersey.

The campaign, which runs through December 31st, includes incentives to encourage community members to leave a legacy and benefit the community now and into the future

The takeaway: Your legacy gift can help your beneficiary organization(s) (including the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and its family of agencies, along with many local synagogues and day schools) not only earn vital future annual income via endowed gifts, but also potentially benefit from up to several thousand dollars in current incentives provided by HGF and the JCF.

Read how you can make a positive impact on our community by initiating a legacy gift or by encouraging loved ones in your personal circle to leave a gift of their own.

Fun Fact!: Out of more than 70 communities that have participated in LIFE & LEGACY across North America, the South Jersey Jewish community has the SECOND most legacy commitments (nearly 900 to date), an incredible feat!

The Zoom presentation also included an overview of additional incentive dollars available from the JCF, via a modified version of LIFE & LEGACY.

The JCF looks forward to a successful outreach campaign to develop new legacy gifts; if you have not left a legacy to benefit a South Jersey Jewish organization, now is a great time to do so!

Taking part in the call were representatives from seven local Jewish organizations, with up to another 11 organizations potentially joining in the program as well.
