On behalf of the entire Jewish community of Southern New Jersey, the Jewish Community Foundation would like to thank the hundreds of individuals near and far who have established a legacy gift through the LIFE & LEGACY initiative of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
These legacy donors have committed to leave a legacy through such vehicles as gifts in a will, beneficiary designations of life insurance policies or IRAs, or even current gifts such as through donated stock.
The legacy donor listing at bottom recently ran in the Jewish Community Voice. The fact that it takes two full pages of the newspaper to list every legacy donor's name shows how widespread our Jewish community's reach is. In fact, South Jersey ranks among the top of all 70+ communities in terms of how many legacy commitments have been initiated since the start of LIFE & LEGACY in 2013.
In all, for our community, over 600 letters of intent have been signed, resulting in nearly 900 legacy commitments to benefit 22 local Jewish organizations, with an estimated future value of more than $22 million in endowed legacy funds. Simply fantastic!
The JCF looks forward to relaunching LIFE & LEGACY later this year, with more information to follow in coming months. If you have not made a legacy commitment as of yet, we hope you will consider doing so soon. The future of our Jewish community will be greatly enhanced thanks to your participation.
