4 Reasons to Create Your Jewish Legacy Today

Have you created your Jewish legacy?

If you have created your Jewish legacy, THANK YOU! You are among the hundreds of generous community members who are looking out for the future of more than 20 local Jewish organizations.

If you have not yet created your Jewish legacy but would like to support the South Jersey Jewish community for many future generations through the Life & Legacy initiative of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, now is a great time to get started, and it can cost nothing during your lifetime to do so.

The first step is to complete a Letter of Intent form and submit it to the JCF directly or to any of the 20+ SNJ Jewish organizations you choose to benefit.

Then, when you're ready to formally establish a legacy, you can include a gift in your will or update your beneficiary designation on your IRA, life insurance policy, or other financial account.

By taking these two important steps, you can gain many benefits including:

• Free Tickets! 

  Receive a complimentary ticket to our Legacy Thank You Event on Tuesday, November 11. Held in conjunction with the Katz JCC's Festival of Arts, Books & Culture, you can enjoy light bites, meeting and mingling, and a screening of Looking UP, an powerful documentary that is sure to inspire. Donors who have established endowment funds with the JCF or who have committed to leave a gift through Life & Legacy are invited to attend at no cost. Note that additional free tickets may be provided throughout the year for local legacy donors to participate in other events.

  
  

• Incentives for Your Local Jewish Causes

  For each new legacy gift that you designate by March 31, 2026 to benefit the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and its family of agencies, local synagogues, or day schools, your selected organization(s) will receive incentive dollars up to $1,800, thanks to the Harold Grinspoon Foundation. Already signed a Letter of Intent? If you formalize your gift or contribute current dollars to a Life & Legacy endowment fund of your choice, additional incentive dollars are also available.

  
  

• Securing our Jewish Future

  Your legacy gift will ultimately be added to an endowment fund which pays out annual income to the cause of your choice. By doing so, you will be securing our Jewish future to ensure that future generations enjoy a welcoming, vibrant, and safe Jewish community in Southern New Jersey.
