Looking back on the latest fiscal year (from 10/1/20 thru 9/30/21) for the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc., one can see that our community and JCF donors specifically were very generous in supporting deserving charitable causes.
Our One-Page Annual Report is now available to give a brief overview of the JCF's most recently completed fiscal year.
Here are some highlights:
In total, the JCF distributed $3.56 million in grants from donor advised funds (DAF) and endowment funds. This dollar amount marks a new JCF record, and we thank all of our donors for using JCF's services and for giving back to others to make the world a better place!
Grants distributed from JCF funds supported over 350 charitable organizations throughout the country, directed per our donors' philanthropic wishes.
The bulk of donors' grant recommendations-- $2.7 million-- stayed right here in the South Jersey Jewish community, benefiting the Jewish Federation of Southern New Jersey and its family of agencies, synagogues, and day schools.
In total, the JCF provided $100,000 in direct community support through Spring and Fall JCF Grants ($62,000) and JCF Scholarship Awards ($38,000). In turn, these dollars will positively impact an estimated 2,000 or more SNJ community members in numerous ways, from new and innovative programs and services to financial assistance for higher education. We thank the generous JCF donors who have created endowment funds specific to these causes, enabling us to provide these awards each year.
