JCF Announces Fall Grants Cycle; Applications Due Oct. 23

The following is a reprint of an article published in the August 5, 2026 issue of the Jewish Community Voice, titled, "JCF Announces Fall Grants Cycle; Applications Due Oct. 23":

Each year, the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. (JCF) offers two opportunities for nonprofits and synagogues serving Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties to receive funding for new programs and services that benefit community members.

The Fall 2026 JCF Grants Cycle has commenced and applications can be submitted until the deadline of Friday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m.

Organizations are welcome to submit multiple grant applications for separate programs or services that they aim to launch, with each request totaling up to $5,000. An anticipated sum of $50,000 will be available for grantees. These grant dollars are made possible largely thanks to philanthropic donors who established endowment funds to perpetuate grants for the community for many generations.

The JCF Grants Committee, which consists of volunteers from throughout the South Jersey

Jewish community, oversees the awards process and decides on grant allocations. This year, the committee welcomes Barbara Flacker as a new co-chair, alongside Rhona Cohen, as she steps into the role previously held by Susan Olinsky. Additionally, individual donors are welcome to contribute toward individual grants, where interested.

As announced earlier this year, the Beacon Engagement and Participation Endowment Fund has been added to the pool of funding for JCF Grants thanks to generous anonymous donors. The aim of this fund is to provide seed money grants for nonprofit, 501(c)(3) Jewish organizations (including synagogues) in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester counties as part of the spring and fall JCF Grants cycles.

To learn more about the JCF Grants process, prospective applicants are encouraged to attend a complimentary Grants Workshop on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 9:00 a.m. in a hybrid format.

RSVP for the workshop is required by emailing JCF Assistant Director Mike Staff at mstaff@jfedsnj.org
