This spring, the Jewish Community Foundation provided upwards of $49,000 in JCF Scholarship Awards to benefit 29 high-achieving local residents who are pursuing post-high school education or experiential travel.
It's a true honor and privilege for the JCF to be able to provide financial support thanks to donors who have established endowment funds to continue this tradition annually as well as donors who give every year to benefit fellow community members.
To celebrate this year's crop of awardees and their accomplishments, the JCF hosted our annual Scholarship Awards Reception on June 10 at the Katz JCC.
Mazel tov to all 2025 JCF Scholarship Awardees, and thanks to all who could attend and help make it a memorable and meaningful night!
Enjoy these photos from the evening, with special thanks to JCF Board member Marc Shenker for serving as our event photographer.
The event included:
A welcome message from JCF President Andi Levin
An introduction by JCRC President Alan Moldoff to the Colonel David Marcus Memorial Scholarship Award, which had its first recipient this year
Announcements of each award's recipients and a presentation of certificates to the 14 awardees in attendance (group pictured above, with several award donors) by Scholarship Committee Chair Carol Roth
Keynote remarks by Rebecca Kaufman, a previous awardee from 2017 and 2018, who spoke about the importance of meeting people during college and beyond who hail from different backgrounds than your own and learning about their perspectives
Closing comments by JCF Executive Director David Snyder
Delicious desserts from Soups and Sweets of JFCS
In all, approximately 90 community members attended the event, including awardees and their families, JCF scholarship award donors, JCF Board members, and Federation agency leaders.
Looking ahead, prospective applicants for JCF Scholarship Awards should keep an eye out for full details on the JCF website in late December to apply before the deadline in March 2026.
Thank you for your support of JCF Scholarship Awards to benefit deserving South Jersey residents!
