Start Your 2026 with a New Jewish Legacy for the Future
Harold Grinspoon talks with Jodi Levine (JCF Board member and Life & Legacy Committee Chair) during the 2025 Life & Legacy Conference in Springfield, MA.

The Life & Legacy initiative of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation (HGF) is now in its 12th year in the Southern New Jersey Jewish community.

A dozen years strong, we here at the Jewish Community Foundation, Inc. exude with pride when reflecting on how this unique, groundbreaking program has enhanced Jewish South Jersey:

  • 21 Jewish organizations have received at least one legacy commitment...

  • By way of 638 Letters of Intent signed by generous donors...

  • Which collectively account for 939 total legacy commitments...

  • That will result in an anticipated $23.475 million in future endowment fund assets to provide annual income for future generations

THANK YOU to our the hundreds of philanthropic individuals and families who have stepped up to ensure the success of our Jewish community's future, and to the Harold Grinspoon Foundation for making this all possible.

We also thank the many volunteers-- including the JCF Life & Legacy Committee consisting of Chairperson Jodi Levine, Jocelyn Borowsky, Ellen Krivchenia, Harriet Schulman, and Marc Shenker-- and professionals throughout SNJ who have led legacy teams and performed outreach to secure these gifts. Everyone involved throughout the process is committing a marvelous mitzvah.

Looking further out, the success of Life & Legacy across the continent is awe-inspiring.

Per a 2025 press release from HGF, over the last 13 years, Life & Legacy has:

  • Bolstered 977 organizations in...

  • 75 communities, resulting in...

    • $2 billion in commitments,

    • 44,000 signed legacy commitments, and

    • 35,000 individual legacy donors

Have you committed to the future of our South Jersey Jewish community?

It can be easy to establish a legacy commitment by leaving a gift in your will or by updating the beneficiary designations of your IRA, financial account, or life insurance policy. All of these options, and others, can cost little or nothing during your lifetime.

Creating your Jewish legacy is also a meaningful way to start off the New Year.

Ultimately, your after-lifetime gift will bolster endowment funds to provide steady, reliable income to the Jewish organization(s) of your choice. Current gifts of any amount are also welcome as well, so you can see your gift in action every year.

To learn more, please contact the legacy team at any participating local Jewish organization directly or JCF Assistant Director Mike Staff at 856-673-2528 today.

Thank you for your consideration, we look forward to helping you create your Jewish legacy now, for the future!
